The article is an introduction to the Book of Quranic Recitations by the Shi'i author al-Sayya´ r|´ , the earliest monograph on the delicate question of the falsification of the Qur'an. The text is of major importance not only for a better understanding of the Shi'ism in the first centuries of the hijra but also for a study of the history of the redaction and of early Muslim representations of the Qur'an.

L'article est une introduction au Livre des reècitations coraniques de l'auteur shi'ite al-Sayya´ r|´ , la plus ancienne monographie sur la deèlicate question de la falsification du Coran. Il s'agit d'un document capital non seulement pour une meilleure connaissance du shi'isme des premiers sieé cles de l'islam mais aussi pour l'eè tude de l'histoire de la reè daction et des repreè sentations musulmanes anciennes du Coran.
