Abstract

Abstract

Publication of a block from a Memphite 6th dynasty false door kept at the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia (inv. no. D118-1982). The owner, the overseer of the residence and overseer of the great mansion Ankhemthenenet-Inkhi, is not recorded elsewhere. Notwithstanding, because of the rarity of his names, he can be identified with two officials attested in different graffiti at Wadi Hammamat. This identification, and the string of titles carved on the block provide data for proposing the way he was promoted in the Egyptian administration.
