Abstract

Abstract

(B) has two divisions of the Acts of the Apostles; the most recent of them has 69 pericopes. This is very similar to the division of the Acts of the (A), which has 70 pericopes. A synopsis shows that about 30 of them have the same delimitation in both codices. Westcott - Hort remarked that the differences between the principal Latin system of divisions of the Acts found in A, and the Greek numerals in B are “too slight to allow any doubt as to identity of ultimate origin”. The most plausible explanation of this similarity seems to be an indirect contact of A and B through a supposed presence of Codex B in the West. On the other hand, the similarity of both codices is not great as regarding the delimitation of the summaries.
