Abstract

Abstract

A passage in TLG 4040.005, Section XII (XIII) of Euthymius Zigabenus' , refers to Peter Grossolano's visit to Constantinople in the spring of 1113. Zigabenus must have completed his work after that date and most probably before November 1114. Some marginal annotations suggest that a two-volume copy of the consisting of mss. 387 and 162 was personally inspected by Zigabenus. It belongs to the first of two distinct branches of the 's textual tradition. The earliest representative of the second branch is 1232A of 1131.
