Cette note présente l’édition et le commentaire d’une brique inscrite du roi babylonien Nabuchodonosor II, conservée dans la collection du Cabinet du . Cette brique offre l’intérêt de faire partie des premiers objets inscrits en cunéiforme rapportés en France, dont l’étude a permis des progrès dans le déchiffrement de cette écriture.

Abstract

This note presents the edition and the commentary of an inscribed brick of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II, kept in the collection of the ’s Cabinet. This brick is of much interest due to its being one of the first objects bearing a cuneiform inscription to be brought to France, the study of which has enabled progress to be made in the decipherment of this script.
