Housed in the Department of Music and Theater at Manhattan College and managed by faculty and students in the Sound Studies program, Sound Studies Review (SSR) is an international, peer-reviewed music journal, published semiannually by Brepols. The journal seeks to present multiple perspectives on the science and cultural reception of sound in our everyday listening environment. The purpose of the journal is to diversify the audience of sound studies by offering a wide range of differing topics that converge at the intersection between musicology, audio technology, acoustical research, media studies, and the environment.

Studia Orientalia Christiana.Collectanea is a journal that publishes annual studies about Christian oriental Churches, Arab Christianity, and the presence of the Franciscans in the Middle East. The journal is published by scholars of the Franciscan Center of Christian Oriental Studies, founded in Cairo by the Custody of the Holy Land in 1954 at the monastery of Mousky, the first Franciscan establishment in Egypt. The Centre aims to promote research in two main areas: the development of the Eastern sciences among Middle East Christian communities and the documentation and recording in chronicles of the lives and history of the Franciscans in the Middle East.

The journal Teresianum is edited by authors of various nationalities and is intended for international circulation. It primarily offers studies concerning spiritual theology and Christian anthropology, leaving a privileged place for Carmelite studies. The journal also includes contributions on theology, Church history and biblical studies, as well as a selection of reviews. It has been published since 1947 with two issues per year of about 300 pages each.

Troianalexandrina features articles on medieval European works on the matter of Antiquity (Trojan matter, Alexander the Great, Greek and Latin literatures and mythology) and, more generally, the survival of classical culture in the Middle Ages. Interdisciplinary contributions focusing on the study of images and iconographic tradition or exploring elements of medieval visual culture related to classical themes and motifs are also welcome.

Viator offers a space for renewed attention to transcultural studies from Late Antiquity into Early Modernity, while continuing its long-standing tradition of publishing articles of distinction in the established fields of medieval and Renaissance studies. In keeping with its title, “traveler,” the journal gives special consideration to articles that cross frontiers, focus on meetings between cultures, pursue an idea through the centuries, or employ methods of different disciplines simultaneously, while remaining accessible to the non-specialist reader. Viator particularly welcomes articles that look beyond Western Eurasia and North Africa and considers the history, literature, art, and thought of the eras of early global interconnection from broader perspectives.
