Abstract:

Abstract:

An interdisciplinary team studied two Books of Hours from the fifteenth century preserved at the Portugal’s National Library. A comparison of their structure, together with the aesthetic and materials’ study, led us to the proposal the illumination depicting David in prayer, currently included in IL15, belongs however to IL19. The study of materials and techniques of both manuscripts confirmed this hypothesis already advanced by the art history.
