Lost in Time: Stories of Unfurnished Burials from Late Antique Hilltop Sites in Slovenia, Page 1 of 1

This contribution presents radiocarbon dates of graves, mostly with no grave goods, from two hilltop sites in Slovenia, Tonovcov grad near Kobarid and Sv. Pavel above Vrtovin. Often automatically dated to the 5th and 7th–8th century AD and ascribed to the autochthonous population, these graves offer an insight into several centuries of life on hilltop settlements and open the question of the existence and use of buildings, even the ecclesiastical ones, long into the Early Middle Ages.
