The paper gives an insight into the chronology of spatial articulation and presbytery furnishings of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene with liturgical installations during Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages. From the collection kept in the Ston Lapidarium, in the ground floor of the Bishop's Palace, the author singles out four plutei and four pilasters suggesting that they might have originally belonged to the pre-Romanesque/early Romanesque altar screen in St. Mary Magdalene's in Stonsko polje.
