Abstract

O. Ashm. Inv. 502. Upper Egypt? (acquired in Karnak), first century? Edition of a - in all probability - school text preserved on an Ashmolean ostracon, supposedly a letter sent by Darius to his satraps, in which Alexander is sketched as a naughty child who will be taught a lesson of 'self-control'.
