Il trattato anonimo De epistolis (Rhetores Latini Minores, p. 589 Halm). Introduzione e traduzione

Il contributo ha come oggetto un breve e anonimo trattato dal titolo De epistolis, che contiene precetti di teoria epistolare. Dopo alcune osservazioni introduttive volte a contestualizzarlo nel panorama della precettistica antica di teoria epistolare e ad analizzarne la struttura, si proporrà una traduzione, di cui il testo era fino ad oggi privo.

This paper focuses on a short and anonymous treatise De epistolis, which briefly illustrates some rules of epistolary writing. The introduction will contextualize the text in the background of ancient epis- tolary theory and will offer an analysis of its structure. Finally, the paper will provide the first attempt of translating this text.
