The healing of the woman who had a flow of blood has an interesting detail in the Q source: the woman who wants to be healed touches the fringes of Jesus' garment. The purpose of this article is to examine the theology underlying the fringes not only in the light of texts from the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy, but also in a text of the prophet Malachi.
