This article mainly aims to compare the reception of the Heideggerian notion of with the presence and conceptual exploitation of the notion of in the French phenomenological context. In this regard, the theses of prove to be a useful starting point, although they need to be corrected through a close comparison with the text and the indispensable philological research. Finally, following the previous analyses, a brief review of the explored and unexplored possibilities of phenomenological proposals on the theme of the event is proposed.
