À propos d’une scène dans la crypte ouest 3 du temple de Dendara (6, 159-162), observations sur la cohérence du système des métaphores désignant Maât, construit autour de l’épithète fréquente de la déesse ṯpḥ.t wḏ k3.w «œsophage», d’où l’on peut tenter de désuire une influence du jeu linguistique sur le développement de la pensée et le sens de la composition.

The association of the water-lily with architecture and art is one of the most familiar visual aspects of the ancient Egyptian culture. However, the earliest representations of the water-lily date only to the Naqada III period. The finds of that period are discussed using the available archaeological and environmental data. An interdisciplinary approach allows the interpretation of the symbolic meaning of the plant within the cultural context of daily life and the ancient Egyptian landscape. Small stone and faience cosmetic vessels in the shape of the water-lily flower refer to its odorous qualities and by extension to beauty. The faience vessels were found in temple deposits, illustrating the symbolic importance of the flower. Rattles in the shape of water-lily buds extend the idea of beauty to that of music. The association with cosmetics and music point to the more pleasant side of elite life, which must have been the reason for the integration of the water-lily into Early Dynastic iconography. The sudden appearance of water-lily representations is to be seen as part of the development of the Dynastic visual language.

Inventaire aussi complet que possible des statues de Basse Époque qui montrent des particuliers portant des pendentifs sur la poitrine. Ceux-ci existent en plusieurs types.

Publication de la statuette Bruxelles MRAH E. 8039 restée inédite jusqu’à ce jour. La statuette fragmentaire représente un personnage naophore agenouillé et date, en toute probabilité, du début de l’époque saïte. Son propriétaire, Ouahibrê, porte le titre de «chef du haras». L’article dresse également une liste des personnages de la XXVI^e dynastie attachés à la cavalerie.

Publication d’une stèle inédite appartenant à une collection privée. Les caractéristiques de la décoration et les inscriptions de la stèle permettent de l’identifier comme l’une des «Schiffsstelen» provenant d’Assouan, qui peuvent être datées de la Basse Époque.

The article is focused on the description of the cornice heart amulet, one of the most common categories of heart amulets during the Late Period and Greco-Roman Period. Starting with the description of its formal features, we try to clear the symbolism of this type of heart amulets by studying its depiction on contemporary pictorial contexts. Special attention is given to the meaning of the cornice which is its main feature, as well as to the meaning of the typical X or V shaped incisions.

Edition of O. Florida Inv. 21 (second/third century), first presented by R.S.B. at the Twenty-Fourth International Congress of Papyrology. The text (in prose, but unmistakably comic in vocabulary and tone) is a piece of speech (mime or erotic epistolary fiction?), and presents a scene involving a sexual triangle (a man, a barbarian woman, and the speaker, who is male or female).

Edition of P. Mich. Inv. 7009, recovered from cartonnage (from a cemetery in the general area of El-Lahun, south of Hawara). Fragment of a letter (second half of the 3rd century B.C.). The text appears to involve a soldier, a horse, the formulation of an order and a prohibition, and a reference to a payment to the royal treasury.

O. Mus. Hist. nat. Lyon Inv. 807 constitue la partie inférieure de O. Ashm. Shelt. 42. Memorandum adressé à l’administration (Diospolis Magna, II^e siècle avant J.-C.). Le texte concerne une affaire liée à l’armée et on y trouve une onomastique juive.
