An edition of three papyri from the Apa Apollos monastery at Bawit. P.Heid. inv. G 1389 (I) contains a 6th century receipt in Greek concerning the paradeisos of Abba Menas. It is interesting for the mention of the monetary standard of the monastery and the hegoumenos Abba Anouphis. P.Heid. inv. G 1027 (II) and P.Bremen Übersee-Museum Inv. B 14478 (III) are 8th century bilingual (Greek-Coptic) orders for delivery. P.Heid. inv. G 1027 concerns the bonus payment in garum for Eastern for monks ‘assigned to the city’. It can be perhaps dated to 743 or 773 and was written by the scribe Hellos. P.Bremen Übersee-Museum Inv. B 14478 refers for the first time in the documentation of Bawit to an elaiourgos and was written by the well-known scribe Musaios.
