This communication proposes to identify the text of one of the rondeaux copied as unica in the Leuven Chansonier, Par malle bouche, as a poem regretting the condemnation of Joan of Arc, addressed as ‘Pucelle de France’. Thus read, the piece becomes the earliest setting explicitly mentioning Joan, and paves the way for new research on the manuscript’s other unica.
