In Stat., Theb. XI, 22 la presenza di hostes costituisce un problema interpretativo che non è affatto facile risolvere. Possiamo, infatti, ipotizzare la presenza di asindeto, un valore predicativo o addirittura aggettivale del termine, ma forse è piú opportuno pensare ad un emendamento testuale, mirante a restituire un aggettivo, che qualifichi il sostantivo turmae.

In Stat., Theb. XI, 22 the presence of hostes is an interpretative problem not easily resolvable. Indeed, we can assume the presence of asyndeton, a predicative value, or even the adjectivation of this noun, but perhaps it is more appropriate to think of a textual emendation, aiming to restore an adjective that qualifies the noun turmae.
