Ricostruzione filologica e scientifica di Bitone 61, 2-3

Marsden, l’ultimo editore dell’opera di Bitone, ha inserito ‹ταύτης› contro la tradizione manoscritta all’inizio del paragrafo in cui l’autore descrive la costruzione di un tipo di gastrafete (61, 2-3). Il presente contributo intende dimostrare che il testo tramandato è in realtà corretto e va ripristinato nelle edizioni moderne.

Marsden, the last editor of Biton’s work, inserted ‹ταύτης› against the manuscript tradition at the beginning of the paragraph in which the author describes the construction of a type of gastraphetes (61, 2-3). This paper aims to demonstrate that the transmitted text is actually correct and has to be restored in the modern editions.
