Un passo di Festo epitomato da Paolo Diacono afferma che le potevano sostituire le all’interno delle . Grazie ad alcuni indizi rintracciabili nelle fonti letterarie e possibile cercare di ricostruire le norme giuridico-sacrali che ne regolavano la dedica e l’utilizzo durante le cerimonie sacrificali.
