Abstract

Abstract

L’adhésion de Cola di Rienzo, à la suite du délitement du , à un scénario eschatologique authentiquement joachimite, transmis par des franciscains dissidents, constitue une rupture nette avec la spiritualité du Tribunat. L’article, revenant sur l’exégèse toute personnelle donnée par Rienzo aux textes prophétiques, propose un recensement plus complet des sources prophétiques utilisées dans la correspondance de Bohême. Partant d’un lien textuel inaperçu avec Angelo Clareno, il tente de mieux situer les fraticelles que Cola connut parmi la dissidence franciscaine. Enfin, l’ambassade pragoise est interprétée comme manifestation du rôle exhortatif de la prophétie.

Abstract

Cola di Rienzo’s adoption, after the downfall of the , of an eschatological scenario of Joachite inspiration and transmitted by dissident Franciscans forms a clear break with his spirituality during the Tribunate. The current study, while analyzing Rienzo’s highly personal exegesis of prophetic texts, completes our knowledge of the prophetic material quoted in the Bohemian letters. Thanks to an unnoticed textual link with Angelo Clareno, it attempts to better position the fraticelli group known to Rienzo among the wider Franciscan dissidence. Lastly, the embassy in Prague is interpreted as a manifestation of the hortatory function of prophecy.
