Sarcophagus of the Holy Sepulchre of the Zagreb Cathedral was made in 1659 in the relief gold embroidery technique. His author was a German embroiderer from Ingolstadt, Wolfgang Jakob Stoll. This iconographical conception follows the medieval model that had been popularized, for example, by Biblia pauperum. This paper will analyze the specific quality of the Zagreb’s variant of this iconographical model and will point out the importance of the graphical models in the distribution of certain Testament scenes.
