Abstract

Abstract

The author reflects on teaching , as a Jewish professor, to primarily Mormon students in Utah. She meditates on themes of Christian universalism within the poem, focusing on how these exclude both Jews and marginalized Christian communities like the LDS church, while also arguing that experience of alterity can itself be a powerful intellectual tool.
