Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Given the importance of Natalis Comes’s in Classic Tradition Studies as transmitter of the Greek scholia, in this article we show the humanist’s preference and use of the scholia on Lycophron, always cited under Isacius’s autorship. It is not an exhaustive analysis. Rather, our foci are the mythographique variants which are Isacius’s own, regardless of whether or not Natale Conti acknowledge it. In addition, we try to show how Conti’s admiration for the scholiast results although not frequently, in Conti attributing data to Isacius which are not his, or else he omits the sources that the Byzantine author does quoted.
