Abstract

Abstract

It is not de first time that the Western human being feels that the end of his existence is near. The judeo-christian beliefs helped this feeling, because of the guilt by which mankind could be condemned. If we regard texts and declarations by various authors from Antiquity until today, we see how people fear the real end of their existence, specially at the or at the beginning of a millennium. The counting of time, though, is not the same for Westerners and Orientals. Fear has always been present, but with the progress of technology the dangers are bigger. We cannot change reality, so it is better to think that the survivance instincts of the human beings will prevail.
