Le corps chez Romeo Castellucci : le médium d'un sensible radical

La compagnie « Societas Raffaello Sanzio » de Romeo Castellucci propose des créations radicales, qui travaillent et jouent avec les limites de ce que peut supporter la sensibilité. Dans L'Orestie, Romeo Castellucci se plait notamment à instaurer une relation affective directe entre le sujet et l'objet de la représentation, en subvertissant le régime symbolique qui les maintenait à distance (l'objet étant alors nécessairement reçu et interprété avant d'être éprouvé). Par cette relation affective, elle-même élaborée par l'organicité de la voix (pré-linguistique) et une pure présence au plateau (pré-symbolique), le corps s'avère apte à transmettre le principe même de la tragédie, première et originale.

In Orestea especially, Romeo Castellucci created affective and direct relation between subject and object, subverting the system of symbolization and representation which differentiated them (the object is indeed received and interpreted before being felt). Through this affective relation (created by the organic of the voice (pre-linguistic) and a pure presence (pre-symbolic)), the body is able to convey the Essence of tragedy, first and originale.
