Le père A. de Vogué est surtout connu pour ses éditions monumentales des règles de saint Benoît (RB) et du Maître (RM), mais il a aussi accompagné des éditions par d’autres chercheurs. À propos des relations entre RM, RB et le florilège du manuscrit Paris, BnF, Latin 12634, F. Masai et E. Manning ont reproché àVogüé de les considérer comme des documents statiques. La position de Vogüé prévaut maintenant ; la collection Regulae Benedicti studia (1971-1985) fait écho à ces discussions. Michaela et Klaus Zelzer ont revisité l’ensemble de la tradition manuscrite de RB : aux trois branches reconnues par Ludwig Traube, ils ajoutent un texte d’usage monastique, antérieur à Benoît d’Aniane. Une liste des éditions des règles monastiques des vi^e-vii^e siècles recense leurs bases manuscrites et leurs critères ecdotiques, notamment leur usage fait de la Concordia regularum de Benoît d’Aniane. L’édition critique de la Concordia par Pierre Bonnerue permet maintenant de mieux étayer le recours à cette anthologie.

Father A. de Vogüé is best known for his monumental editions of the Rule of Saint Benedict (RB) and the Rule of the Master (RM), but he also contributed to the editions by other researchers. The scientific character of his work and his breadth of research have been praised. With regard to the relations between RM, RB and the florilegium in Paris, BnF, Latin 12634, François Masai and Eugène Manning criticized Vogüé for considering them as static documents, whereas these researchers considered them to be dossiers in constant evolution and interaction. Vogüé’s position is now favoured ; the conferences published in the collection Regulae Benedicti studia (1971-1985) reflect these discussions. Michaela and Klaus Zelzer reviewed the entire manuscript tradition of the RB. To the three branches recognized by Ludwig Traube (pure text, contaminated text, received post-Carolingian text), they add a monastic text dating before Benedict of Aniane, of which the oldest fragments are preserved in the Rule of Donatus of Besançon. A list of the editions of the sixth- and seventhcentury monastic rules gives a census of the manuscripts used and ecdotic criteria, especially their use of the Concordia regularum of Benedict of Aniane. The critical edition of the Concordia by Pierre Bonnerue now facilitates use of that anthology.

Im Hinblick auf die Beziehungen zwischen RB, RM und der Handschrift Paris, BnF, Latin 12634 haben François Masai und Eugène Manning de Vogüé vorgeworfen, dass er diese als statische Dokumente gesehen habe. Mittlerweile hat sich de Vogüés Position durchgesetzt. Die Reihe Regulae Benedicti studia (1971-1985) spiegelt diese Diskussion wieder. Michaela und Klaus Zelzer haben die gesamte handschriftliche Überlieferung der RB einem erneuten Blick unterzogen. Sie ergänzten die drei von Ludwig Traube erkannten Zweige um einen monastischen Text, der in die Zeit vor Benedikt von Aniane datiert wird. Ein Verzeichnis der Editionen klösterlicher Regeln des 6. und 7. Jahrhunderts gibt eine Übersicht der Handschriften und ihrer ekdotischen Kriterien, insbesondere ihres Gebrauchs durch die Concordia regularum Benedikts von Aniane. Die kritische Edition der Concordia durch Pierre Bonnerue erlaubt nun einen einfacheren Zugriff auf diese Anthologie.
