Le monde par ses éclats. Hypersensibilité romanesque et devenirs de l'ambition réaliste contemporaine

Cet article voudrait mettre au jour les modalités d'un renouvellement de l'entreprise réaliste dans le roman français contemporain à la faveur d'un retournement du regard (de Certeau) sur le détail et sur le quotidien, dans le sillage de l'« infra-ordinaire » perecquien. Dans cette perspective, tout un pan du corpus contemporain développe une entreprise de recensement du réel à partir de ses éclats (lieux, objets, archives, souvenirs et sensations) qui informent, depuis le point de vue du personnage qui les rassemble, un sentiment d'être au monde. Le roman privilégie ainsi l'infime contre le grandiose et le quotidien contre le spectaculaire. L'écriture cherche un rapport immédiat au réel qui engage tant sur le plan poétique, à travers le travail de mise en lumière du détail, que sur le plan éthique et politique, pour réaménager dans le quotidien un espace de partage intersubjectif.

This article defines the ways in which the French contemporary novel seeks to renew realist aesthetics by turning its focus to details and everyday life, along the lines of what Georges Perec called the "infra-ordinary". From this perspective, these novels depict the world by juxtaposing its most subjective and smallest elements (a place, an object, a memory, a feeling, a sensation) to display an image of the fictional character's singular experience. In doing so, the novel emphasizes the little things rather than the magnificent ones, the everyday life rather than a more spectacular plot. It searches for an immediate relation to the world on both a poetic level, through the representation of details, and an ethical or political level. Through the depiction of everyday life, these novels aim to re-establish a space in which to build an interpersonal community within fiction
