The present paper deals with seven short Ancient South Arabian texts inscribed on bases of funerary stelae from the archive of the late Professor Maḥmūd al-Ghūl. The names contained therein are etymologically treated and their possible cognates from the Semitic anthroponomastics traditions are traced.
