Abstract

Abstract

Based on finds in the Rock-Cut Pool near the Gihon Spring in Jerusalem, Reich and Shukron recently proposed that the Siloam Tunnel was hewn in the late 9th or early 8th century BCE. In this article I show that the new data from the excavations do not negate the conventional dating of the tunnel - in the late 8th century BCE.

Abstract
