Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This paper studies two unpublished neopunic funerary inscriptions from Maktar. The first inscription was discovered on the archaeological site near the Schola des Juvenes, around 50 metres from the Megaliths, while the second was found in the local El Haj Ali cemetery, around 600 metres south-west of the archaeological museum. These two inscriptions bear witness to the Mactarans’ strong attachment to Punic culture.
