Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The subject of this article is the publication in French of two new inscriptions (Haram 60, 61), already published in Arabic, which emerged from the looting of the ancient site of Haram in the Jawf region of Yemen. Dating from the end of the 8th and the 6th c. , these two inscriptions are dedications made by women to the previously unknown god Qaraʾ. Furthermore, the inscription Haram 60 mentions a new synchronism between the sovereigns of the city-state of Haram and Maʿīn, which makes it possible to place the first kings of kingdom of Maʿīn around the beginning of the 7th c. .
