Abstract

Abstract

The interpretation of the logion 114 of the Gospel of Thomas is a challenge for the students of this text. Its antifeminist character is hard to reconcile with the a-sexual tendencies we usually encounter in the gospel. An ironic reading allows us to understand this logion within the global organisation of this text.
