L'Évangile selon les Hébreux, source de l'Évangile de Luc

Among the apocryphal gospels, the Gospel according to the Hebrews shows the unusual particularism to be classified by Eusebius of Cesarea in a group of intermediate writings between those of the New Testament and those which have been rejected as heretical. Does what is left of this book allow us to put it on the same level with some apostolical writings (as the Didachè), or neotestamentary (the Revelation of John)? Two old references, the Ignace of Antioch's and the Papias', invite us to consider that this book was amongst the sources of Luke, which justifies, obviously, the Eusebius' classification.

Parmi les évangiles apocryphes, l'Évanglie selon les Hébreux présente la particularité remarquable d'être classé par Eusèbe de Césarée dans une catégorie d'écrits intermédiaires entre ceux du Nouveau Testament et ceux qui sont rejetés comme hérétiques. Ce que nous conservons de ce livre perdu nous permet-il de rendre compte de cette mise à égalité avec certains écrits apostoliques (comme la Didachè), voire néotestamentaires(l'Apocalypse de Jean)? Deux références anciennes, l'une chez Ignace d'Antioche, l'autre chez Papias, invitent à considérer que ce livre a figuré parmi les sources de Luc, ce qui justifie, évidemment, le classement proposé par Eusèbe.
