f Achille, occhio degli Achei (Antehomerica Uffenbachiana)

Un court texte mythographique byzantin narrant les faits antérieurs à la guerre de Troie est conservé dans deux manuscrits (Monac. gr. 564 et Ottob. gr. 58), dont le premier est l'ancêtre de la seule édition, parue en 1720 dans le catalogue de la bibliothèque de Zacharias Conrad von Uffenbach par les soins de J. H. May. Après une introduction visant à présenter les témoins et la tradition de ce texte ainsi qu'à étudier son style, son vocabulaire et le rapport qu'il entretient avec ses sources (dont la plus importante est le prologue aux Allégories de l'Iliade par Jean Tzetzès), l'étude établit une nouvelle édition de ces Antehomerica Uffenbachiana, pourvue d'un apparat critique et d'un riche apparatus fontium et testimoniorum.

A short mythographic Byzantine text recounting the events leading up to the Trojan War is preserved in two manuscripts (Monac. gr. 564 and Ottob. gr. 58). The first is the ancestor of the only edition, published in 1720 in the catalogue of the library of Zacharias Conrad von Uffenbach by J. H. May. After an introduction that presents the witnesses and the tradition of this text, as well as a study of its style, vocabulary and its relation to its sources (of which the most important is the prologue to the Allegories of the Iliad by Jean Tzetzès), the study establishes a new edition of the Antehomerica Uffenbachiana, provided with a critical apparatus and a rich apparatus fontium et testimoniorum.
