Nous examinons ici le court fragment sur parchemin en latin, Paris, Archives Nationales, AB XIX 1737, écrit en onciale, probablement au vii^e siècle, en Gaule. Le fragment a été décrit dans Lowe, CL M, t. XII, Suppl., nr. 1742, où il a été défini comme « fragmentum mulomedicum ». Un examen plus attentif du texte montre cependant qu’il s’agirait d’une partie d’un traité de médecine humaine qui ne nous est pas parvenu par ailleurs. En particulier, le texte conservé concerne le traitement d’un abcès hépatique. Nous proposons ici une editio princeps du texte, accompagnée de sa traduction en italien, d’un important apparat des loci similes et d’un commentaire. La recherche met notamment en évidence deux faits d’un grand intérêt : (1) une partie du texte du fragment est reprise ad litteram dans ce qu’on appelle le Liber passionalis ; (2) dans le fragment, on trouve également la plus ancienne attestation du terme uermiculi désignant le type de pâtes appelé « vermicelles » ou « spaghetti ».

The present study discusses the parchment fragment Paris, Archives Nationales AB XIX 1737, written in Latin uncial in the seventh century, probably in Gaul. The fragment is described by E. A. Lowe, CLM, t. XII, Suppl., nr. 1742, and defined there as « fragmentum mulomedicum ». However, a closer examination of the text reveals that it is a small portion of a treatise on human medicine, which has not otherwise reached us. In particular, the fragment concerns the treatment of the hepatic abscess. An editio princeps of the text is presented here, together with an Italian translation, an extensive apparatus of loci similes and a commentary. The analysis shows two particularly interesting elements : (1) a part of the text was drawn on ad litteram in the so called Liber passionalis; (2) the fragment preserves the oldest occurrence of the term uermiculi in the sense « spaghetti ».
