La présente étude propose une comparaison entre la , collection canonique produite au e ou au e siècle, et les traditions textuelles du romain, une collection de biographies pontificales dont les premières versions furent rédigées au cours du e siècle. Les principales conclusions sont qu’il faut réviser l’ordre dans lequel les premières rédactions du romain ont été produites et que la est un témoin de la première version de cette source.

Abstract

This article proposes a comparison between the , a canonical collection produced in the sixth or seventh century, and some versions of the Roman , a collection of papal biographies whose earliest redactions were written during the first half of the sixth century. The main conclusions are that we must revise the order in which the early redactions of the Roman were produced, and that the is witness to the earliest version of this source.
