Abstract

Giovanni Diacono († 1337) mentionne dans ses (inédites) une écrite par Jordanès. Le présent article offre une analyse des diverses allusions à lade Boèce faites par Giovanni Diacono, en évaluant les informations intéressantes qui y sont contenues et en les confrontant à celles de l’II, qui sont similaires mais comportent des différences significatives dans leur rédaction. Sont également examinées les notes de Jacques Sirmond aux , qui attestent l’intérêt du grand savant français pour la de Jordanès, non conservée mais dont quelques extraits figuraient très vraisemblablement aussi dans le célèbre de l’II que possédait Sirmond et que, sur son conseil, Nicolas Caussin a consulté.

Abstract

Giovanni Diacono († 1337) mentions in his (unedited) a written by Jordanes. The present article offers an analysis of the different allusions to the of Boethius made by Giovanni Diacono, evaluating the interesting information they contain and comparing them with the text of II, which is similar but with significant differences in redaction. Also examined are the notes of Jacques Sirmond on the , which attest the interest of the great French scholar for the lost of Jordanes. Extracts of the quite probably figured in the celebrated by II, which was owned by Sirmond, who urged Nicolas Caussin to read it.
