Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This paper introduces two unpublished bifolia from a manuscript of Haimo of Auxerre's , containing significant portions of homilies 78, 79, and 83. They date from the late ninth century or the early tenth. The margins of homily 83 (no other margins survive) contain the responsories and antiphons appropriate to that homily's liturgical date, the Sunday after the Octave of Easter. For their combination of liturgical texts and homiletic text, the bifolia are perhaps unique among surviving manuscripts.
