f Un fragment de légendier italien du xi^e siècle contenant la Passio sancti Alexandri

Un fragment de la Passio Alexandri papae et sociorum (BHL 266 ; AASS, Mai, I, p. 371-375) a récemment été retrouvé dans une reliure vénitienne du premier quart du xvi^e siècle, au sein d’un ensemble de livres et de manuscrits, essentiellement liturgiques, découvert dans l’église parisienne de Saint-Étienne du Mont et déposé depuis 2007 à la Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. Il s’agit du bifeuillet central d’un cahier, contenant 8 colonnes, soit environ la moitié du récit complet de la Passion. Le légendier dont il provient a vraisemblablement été copié au xi^e siècle en Italie du Nord.

A fragment of the Passio Alexandri papae et sociorum (BHL 266; AASS, Mai, I, p. 371-375) has recently been found in a Venetian binding from the first quarter of the sixteenth century, of a volume which is one of several books and manuscripts, mostly liturgical, that were discovered in the Parisian church of Saint-Étienne du Mont, on deposit at the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève since 2007. It is the central bifolium of a quire and has eight columns, which present nearly half the complete text of the Passion. The fragment comes from a passionary probably copied in the eleventh century in northern Italy.
