Abstract

Abstract

L’étude traite d’un témoin de la section sur la métrique de la grammaire de Julien de Tolède qui est passé inaperçu aux éditeurs du grammairien wisigothique. Il s’agit du ms. 393 (376), de la première moitié du e siècle, copie très proche de celle contenue dans les mss. 207 (manuscrit de Fleury de la fin du e ou début du e siècle) et 1586 (manuscrit de Reims, de la deuxième moitié du e siècle). Bien que n’apportant pas beaucoup de nouveauté pour le texte, il se révèle un témoin significatif de l’intérêt des milieux carolingiens de Fleury et, plus tard, de Reims, pour la grammaire de l’êvèque de Tolède.

Abstract

This study examines a witness of the section on meter in Julian of Toledo’ found in 393 (376), a manuscript dated in first half of the ninth century, which seems to have gone unnoticed by the editors of the Visigothic grammarian. The text in Valenciennes is very close to that in mss. 207 (from Fleury, 8th-9th c.) and 1586 (Reims, 9th c. 2/2). Although adding little to our knowledge of the text, it is interesting as a witness to the interest in Visigothic grammar in the Carolingian milieux of Fleury in the early ninth century and of Reims in the second half of the ninth century.
