Abstract

Les manuscrits conservés à la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid sous les cotes 9513 et 9522 sont deux miscellanées de contenu pratiquement identique ayant appartenu à la bibliothèque de don Pedro Fernández de Velasco, premier comte de Haro, l’une des plus représentatives de la noblesse de Castille dans la première moitié du xve siècle. Parmi beaucoup d’autres textes, le recueil qui a reçu le titre de contient un petit florilège de contenu moral composé d’extraits du de saint Bernard, des traités et de Cicéron, du de saint Ambroise et d’une lettre de saint Augustin tirée du de Gratien. La section formée par ce mini-florilège est introduite par un prologue à une traduction perdue du de saint Bernard faite par Vasco Ramírez de Guzmán. Le but de l’article est d’éditer et d’étudier les textes qui composent ce mini-florilège de morale pratique.

Abstract

The manuscripts housed in the Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid under the shelfmarks 9513 and 9522 are two miscellaneous collections with nearly identical contents. They come from the library of Pedro Fernández de Velasco, first Count of Haro, one of the most representative of Castilian nobles in the first half of the fifteenth century. Among the many texts in the collection, which was given the title , there is a small florilegium of moral texts composed of extracts from the of Saint Bernard, Cicero’s and , the by Saint Ambrose, and a letter by Saint Augustine taken from Gratian’s . The section formed by the mini-florilegium is introduced by a prologue from a lost translation of Saint Bernard’s made by Vasco Ramírez de Guzmán. The aim of the article is to edit and study this mini-florilegium of practical morality.
